Interested students/early career scientists who would like to work with us at NOA, are encouraged to apply for one of the following funding schemes:
Regarding Marie Curie (1), there are two types of Individual Post-doctoral Fellowships:
- European Fellowships
- Global Fellowships
European Fellowships: They are open to researchers moving within Europe, as well as those coming in from other parts of the world. Researchers can restart a research career after a break, such as parental leave. It can help researchers coming back to Europe find a new position. These Fellowships are held in the EU or associated countries and last for one to two years.
Global Fellowships: They fund positions outside Europe for researchers based in the EU or associated countries. They last between two and three years. The researcher has to come back for one year to an organisation based in the EU or associated countries.
Regarding the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation grants (2), there are yearly rounds for PhD and Post-doctorate grants. The PhD grants address mainly to Greek citizens or non-Greeks who live in Greece at the time of application (and have good knowledge of the Greek language). The Post-Doctorate grants address to any nationality.
Besides, as I often apply for research grants that involve PhD and/or Post-Doctorate funding, do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your ideas.
